Josh has his sights set high
Disley Golf Club assistant professional Josh Crumplin has enjoyed some great results over the past few months in top competitions, winning the PGA Manchester Trophy against some top professionals and the Manchester and District Golf Alliance’s Order of Merit in their very competitive Winter Series and he is looking to build on this to reach the top international Professional competitions.
Josh outlined his pathway in golf:
“I started playing golf when I was six years old at Sandbach Golf club moving to Macclesfield Golf club when I was 12!
I turned Professional at the age of 19 winning multiple small county professional events before competing on the Euro Pro tour before Covid 19.
During this period I competed globally on the Pro Golf tour mainly in Germany before coming back to competing on the Tartan tour in Scotland.
In 2023 I had my best year to date climbing the world ranking playing in the St Andrews Bay Championship and on the Asian Tour with multiple LIV stars including Sergio Garcia finishing highly in the event.
During most of my professional career I have been part of the team at Disley Golf Club alongside current head professional Scott Jackson and Ian Ridgway.
I would like to thank all my family and friends for all their support along with my coach since turning professional Phil Bamford, and also Scott and Ian for all their continued support alongside all the members and staff at Disley Golf Club for supporting me and my golf day and helping along the way!
My aims and ambitions for the next few years are to get a breakthrough into the main tour or Asian Tour or DP world tour and get my Tour Card and compete at the highest level.
With golf and travel becoming more expensive it is vital for me and my progression to gain support through sponsorship.
I am actively looking to work in partnership with individuals or businesses to support myself through sponsorship deals where they can get benefits for this and supporting my through my journey!”
